On Monday April 5th, Nostrand Gardens hosted its 55th anniversary at Uniondale High School's Little Theatre. It was quite an evening. The Little Theatre was packed with citizens, local elected officials, and many Nassau County Department heads, including new County Executive Edward Mangano.

Our next meeting is Monday, May 3rd, at 6:30 pm, at the Uniondale Library. The subject will be the upcoming school budget vote. Join us, and bring a neighbor!

The recap of the May meeting is now available on the "Meeting notes" page.

Our organization is a union of concerned citizens. Residents of Uniondale and Hempstead of all races, ages, and various walks of life have joined together to make our hometowns a better place to live and work.

Our mission statement for 2010 is "The People's Campaign", whose purpose is for the people in our community to join forces and take action on the issues of sanitation code enforcement, illegal housing and crime reduction.
We meet on the first Monday of every month at 6:45 p.m. at the Uniondale Public Library.
